The opening of the exhibition was on January 17th to remain open until March 4th and can be seen on Tuesdays - Fridays, 10 am until 6 pm and Saturdays from 10 am - 1 pm. at the Galerie Welz in Salzburg.

Friedrich Danielis holds a distinctive position in contemporary Austrian art. One of the defining characteristics of his work is the creation of cycles with systematic variations on a theme. He was deeply engaged in the continuous transformation of a motif, developing compositions in which forms and structures are never repeated, but rather reimagined. His passion for experimentation with techniques and materials in each medium is evident throughout his rich body of work.

This exhibition presents pastels and gouaches on paper as well as egg tempera paintings on canvas, including works from his Mozart and Mahler cycles.


On Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11 am the newly released monograph on the works of Friedrich Danielis, "Seeing and Understanding" was presented at the Welz Gallery. This event also included a panel discussion on the topic of dialogues between painting and music.
